Principal / Owner
Justin D. Page, as founding principal / owner of DPA Architects, Inc. is responsible for overall business development and office operations. Mr. Page provides direct communication and coordination of all administrative functions. Activities include contract negotiations for each client and their respective project. A diverse range of experience in both the architectural and construction industries has provided Mr. Page the comprehensive coordination and professional skills necessary to complete projects to the client’s satisfaction. Utilizing state of the art computer software and proven administrative methods, projects are maintained in an orderly and professional manner. In addition to direct client services and interaction, Mr. Page’s responsibilities include long-range business planning, specific client services, corporate administration and overall redundant support for the firm. Outside of professional pursuits, Mr. Page has a variety of interests including his passion for golf, hiking, fitness, and travel. Along with his wife, Diane, they enjoy the growth and development of their son, Taylor, as he continues his college education.

John S. Szafran, AIA
Principal / Owner
Mr. Szafran has been principal / owner in the firm of DPA Architects since 1992. Born and raised in Arizona, Mr. Szafran has witnessed the growth and development of the state from a unique perspective. Mr. Szafran attended Arizona State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Design and Masters of Architecture degree as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. His interests include raising his two sons, Trevor and Trent, with his wife Jeanette, travel, and reading.
Acting as Lead Designer, Mr. Szafran directs and coordinates all aspects of design from start to finish and actively participates in all meetings. His design, leadership, and technical skills play an important role in the success of DPA Architects. Mr. Szafran has been involved in various educational, religious, public, retail, financial and corporate facilities throughout his career and has extensive background and experience in a variety of market sectors.

Todd C. Trainor, Architect
Principal
Mr. Trainor is a principal with DPA Architects and plays an active role in the daily operations and production of construction documents. Todd began his professional career in upstate New York after receiving his bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Buffalo. Todd relocated to Arizona in 1989 to pursue his Master’s degree in architecture, which he received in 1991. Todd has been with DPA Architects since 1993 and has coordinated the success of various project types including corporate offices, restaurants, residential condominiums and retail / office condominium developments.
His personal interests include running, mountain biking, travel, visiting architectural projects of distinction and spending time with his wife, Hope, and two children, Tatum and Hudson.

R. Allan Johns, Architect
Principal
Mr. Johns, as a principal, has direct responsibility for the advanced technology / telecommunications division within DPA Architects, Inc. Mr. Johns is a native of Arizona and has been with the firm of DPA Architects since 1993. Acting as Project Architect, Mr. Johns directs and coordinates projects from the design phase through the completion of construction. His leadership and technical skills play an important and vital role in developing and coordinating a set of documents for project construction. Mr. Johns has thorough knowledge of all aspects of code and building requirements and has developed and orchestrated multiple code studies for several high technology clients that include Motorola, DHL, SRP, SEZ America, ASM Lithography, Mattel, Nestle and other DPA Architects clients. Recent completed projects include Nestle, Inc. Data Center, Avnet Data Center, and SRP’s Tempe Service Center Warehouse. Mr. Johns’ personal interests include water color painting, golfing and traveling with his wife, Liz, daughter, Sarah, and son, Russell. Mr. Johns is also an ordained deacon and enjoys participating in his church’s ministries.
